Therasauna Far Infrared Saunas utilize patented Thermamitters to heat the body. A series of video reviews produced by a separate distributor of Therasauna expounds on the benefits of the Thermamitters. The heatings units are ceramic heaters which utilize stone to house the wires and keep electromagnetic frequency (EMF) emissions at below the recognized level of risk. A safe reading of the EMF emissions is beneficial as stronger emissions have been associated with health problems after prolonged exposure.

The entire Therasauna unit is made with components emitting low to zero level EMF toxicity. This is true of its control pads, ceramic heating units, and timing clock. Traditional carbon heating units emit toxic EMF levels as measured by gauss meters in tests conducted and documented on video.

Therasauna’s heating controls register higher EMF levels only in an area closer than four inches to the control unit. Other units registered high toxicity levels within the entire sauna unit or within two feet of the timers and the heating components, especially carbon heaters.
